A Lifetime of Love
1991-2008

What have you talked about, focused on, or done lately that will bring up joy in you? I bet it is really easy to feel fear, negativity, and hopelessness though isn’t it. The world is gripped by the fear of major change. Your senses are inundated by things that want to take hold.
What would foster joy if you focused on it? Your child, your animal, a walk in the woods, or a multitude of other things. Have you noticed that one person with a smile in their hearts, can change how you feel, that one person in a bad mood can affect your mood if you let it? We are constantly bombarded by emotions. Our animals might be on to something when they make us laugh. What will you do today to change the tide of emotions gripping the world? Will it be helping someone else just because, listening to someone without judgement sending peace and love from your heart, a smile to a stranger, or a hug to someone you love? Consciously looking for love, hope, and light is a choice, fostering it being dominant in your life is also a choice. Yes there are times that test one more than we think we can take, but that is what we have begun to cultivate community and support of each other for.
I would like to share with you the beauty of God’s creations. With Love & Light enjoy!
Ezzy, whom you haven’t met officially yet, is our other more private dog. We came to be with Ezzy after she was released from prison, and I am not referring to a dog pound.
The Billings Montana Women’s Prison system has a program to train service/companion dogs. The dogs who make it through the program and are found not to be suitable for service work, are placed up for adoption. We adopted Ezzy.
Several years later I had the pleasure of saying thank you to the woman who runs the program by going to the prison and talking about what I do as a communicator/healer. I came away seeing the blessings that both the dogs and the women receive. I was deeply touched by what they were learning from each other. I was asked by a gifted woman in the program if I could feel the difference in the energy in the wing of the prison where the program took place. I was taken by surprise by the question and answered truthfully that I could feel the difference because of the love both the dogs and the woman could experience from each other. I also added that they had a special understanding of what these dogs had experienced in their lives up to this point. Sharing what sometimes they couldn’t tell a human about how they felt, was making a permanent difference in the future of their students. To understand and be understood, for the time you are together, would forever make a difference for both of them. There were fifteen women who came to the talk. Many who had their dog students with them wanted to know about the dogs past. We spoke heavily about emotion and that certain dogs come to them because they are the ones who could help them. We talked about loving them, and about letting them go. It was a very emotional afternoon for many of us. I have done many lectures on animal communication and healing, this one left a huge impression on the difference love and animals can make in someone’s life. The women who knew Ezzy from when she was there, were grateful to hear about her life now, and how well she is doing. There was more than one chuckle when I mentioned she could only hold some commands for the time it took her back side to touch the ground for the command to sit. Also if you turn your back after having convinced her to sit, she is closer when you turn back around. That is why ever ready Ezzy came to be with us.
Nature and my body are preparing for the shift to hibernation mode that comes along with the season of fall. It has decided it wants more root vegetables, soups, and stews. Being so closely tied to nature here in Montana, I have fallen into the rhythm of the seasons. We cut and split wood and to prepare for our winter heat. I have begun to can vegetables for winter use. I know I have a long way to go to be self-sufficient but have come to realize and embrace cycles and their meanings. The distance too fresh organic vegetable is 50+ miles. Needless to say, we plan our trips. Out of necessity I plan well in advance with provisions for out daily life.
So if you are feeling like nesting in, feeling changes in your eating habits, get outside with nature and let her teach you the ways we have forgotten. It is a choice to live consciously.
I do have a clue, now. When yesterday’s blog was written it is true I did not have a clue about today. In retrospect it is easy to see the universe delivered in perfect synchronicity the video, The Unity Of Spirit & Matter by Ken McLean, that asks the viewer to step outside their comfort zone and preconceived beliefs. I am attempting to plant the synchronicity of its arrival, in the fertile soil of my newly growing garden of thought. The universe supplied, even when I wasn’t trying to control it. I think I might be on to something here. I have known about this truth for some time. It is nice to be reminded when I slip back into past ways of processing information. Thinking of the possibilities, can offer a pathway to embrace and incorporate new thought into our being. If I can figure this out, I will add the video, if not I will add the link. I am adding this movie to offer you different perspectives to continue to build your own beliefs.
