We Are Embarking on an Auspicious Year
Welcome to 2012.
Definition of AUSPICIOUS:
: showing or suggesting that future success is likely
We are embarking on such a year. There is always a lot of thought given to what a new year will bring our way. We make New Year’s resolutions with the belief we will never keep them more than a short time. We shoot for the stars in what it is we yearn to change. We see our future through the eyes of our past so we have a history of where we are going before we get there. In other words you can’t get something new with an old template. This year has the added bonus of FEAR.
Fear:
- because nothing is as it was even yesterday
- the world is falling apart
- we are all spiraling to our doom
- what little illusion we had of security is slipping away
That is only the truth if you make it your truth. You have a choice. Today, just like any other day, you can choose externally or internally what you are taking part in. Do you fill your time riveted to the media and its campaign of fear? Funny isn’t it that the government has even more solutions that take away more and more of your rights as a human being. Check out the National Defense Authorization Act if you still question what fear is asking you to give away to not be in control of your own life.
- What if it were possible to play differently this year?
- What if the ways in which you limited your self were no longer guiding you?
- What if you went beyond failed resolutions?
- What if…
There are lots of what if’s. When did you last ask yourself “Does this feel right for me?” Check in to see if you are answering from the past, from fear, from not wanting to do anything that means you might have to ask yourself some tough questions. You might have to change. Even if something is hard doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be done.We are bombarded everyday by the ease and swiftness at which we can steer away from feeling, from emotions, from knowing our loving self.
Feed your fear, your insecurities, your resistance. What you have already gotten from feeding an insatiable monster? Yes these are times of great challenge. How are you approaching them? Spoiled. Wanting a way that doesn’t exist anymore. Or honoring and understanding what is important.
Feed your heart, your joy, your Self and see what can happen. It takes time to diminish the lure to the old.To get your tire out of an old rut. It takes commitment to nurture Love. To let it blossom in your life, as your life. There are many ways to begin anew. One breath at a time.
What is your criteria for fulfilling a great year for yourself? Does it nurture? Or just add stuff?
No one can take away your living an auspicious year. Your the only one that can give it away. One thought at a time creates either outcome.
